In order to secure adequate resources to develop and market data quality management systems for the international market Data Quality Systems was incorporated in 2007. The newly created company took over the activities of the initiators, which resided in the company Sp/f Data Quality.

The company is backed by a number of highly reputable investors within the Faroese business community, encompassing e.g. leading financial institutions, a major private investment groups and the Faroese Industrial Development Fund.

The shares of Data Quality Systems are currently fully owned by the following six investors, which have remained the sole investors since the incorporation of the firm in mid 2007:
