Applying a business perspective, the DQ Framework end users may be organized into three main segments:

End-users in the Management segment include e.g. professionals which are either involved in or responsible for project management and observation management tasks. Benefits these professionals can obtain from application of the DQ Framework include e.g. an improved ability to coordinate observation scheme efforts plus enhanced communication and follow-up of data requirements in a single solution across an extensive network of professionals.
End-users in the Data Observation segment include e.g. professionals which are responsible for carrying out the majority of the operational tasks of the observation scheme. Benefits these professionals can obtain from application of the DQ Framework include e.g. substantial efficiency gains related to instrument-, deployment scheme- and operational scheme set-up plus monitoring activities.
End-users in the Data User segment include e.g. researchers and consultants. Benefits these professionals can obtain from application of the DQ Framework include e.g. improved in-house efficiency and improved ability to communicate the actual quality state of the used source data.
In sum, application of the DQ Framework offers a wide range of end-users the ability to reap various benefits on both individual and team level within singular units, within a company plus for schemes working across unit and company boundaries in dispersed geographical locations.
